Aspire Padel League
Prizes & Terms
Prizes
Every level has its own leaderboard, for men and for women. You compete against players at your own level, not against the whole league.
- Grand prizes: a racket for each of the three biggest leagues.
The three leagues with the most qualified players each season award a racket to their champion. Right now that’s expected to be Men’s Rookie, Women’s Rookie and Men’s Prospect, but it’s decided by participation each season, so it can change.
- Podium prizes: top 3 in every league.
Every league that runs awards prizes to its top three, whatever its size.
- Club prizes: top 3 at each club.
Each club has its own leaderboard, and the top three men and top three women at that club win prizes.
- The Lucky Draw: one ticket every time you play.
Every session you join earns you one ticket. Everyone who plays is in it. It doesn’t matter what level you are, which leaderboard you’re on, or whether you’ve qualified yet. At the end of the season we draw prizes from the whole pot. Any grand prize from a league that didn’t fill goes into this draw too.
You can win more than one. A club prize and a league prize aren’t mutually exclusive.
Small leagues may be combined. If a league has fewer than 20 players we may run its standings together with the league below, so there’s always a real race to be part of.
Winners are announced within 14 days of the season closing. Final standings are taken on the last day of the season.
The basics
- Two numbers.
Your rating shows how good you are and updates after every match, all year round. Your season points are the race: they reset every season, and they’re what the leaderboards and prizes are based on.
- Levels.
Rookie (0.00 to 1.99) · Prospect (2.00 to 2.99) · Contender (3.00 to 3.99) · Challenger (4.00+). You move between levels as your rating changes, and the level you’re on when the season closes is the one you’re ranked in.
- Getting qualified.
New players start as provisional. You become qualified after roughly three social sessions or four challenge matches. Challenge matches count for more because they’re longer. You appear on the leaderboard from your first session either way; qualifying is what makes you eligible for the ranking prizes.
Terms and conditions
- Entry. The league is open to Aspire members who have registered and completed a level self-assessment. Aspire may adjust a player’s starting level where the self-assessment doesn’t reflect their standard.
- Seasons. The Pilot Season (Season 1) runs from 5 August to 30 September 2026. Term 2 begins on 1 October.
- Your league. You are ranked in the league you are in on the final day of the season. Your rating moves all season, up and down, and wherever it leaves you on the last day is the league you are ranked and prized in.
- Qualifying. Qualification is based on the amount you’ve played, weighted by format: longer formats count for more. Provisional players take part in everything and appear on the leaderboards, marked as provisional, but are not eligible for ranking-based prizes. Where a provisional player finishes in a prize position, the prize passes to the highest-placed qualified player. Provisional players are still included in the Lucky Draw.
- Leaderboards. Every level has a leaderboard for men and one for women. Positions are decided by season points, with rating used to break ties.
- Combining leagues. Where a league has fewer than 20 participants, Aspire may combine its standings with the league below it. No more than two leagues will be combined.
- Club leagues. Depending on the size of a club and the number of players signed up there, a club league may run as one combined league for each gender, or be split by level. Aspire will confirm the format for each club at the start of the season.
- Prizes. A league awards official prizes where it has at least 20 qualified players at the end of the season. Where a league has fewer, Aspire may still recognise its winners at its own discretion, and the grand prize for that league goes into the Lucky Draw.
- Lucky Draw. Each session you attend earns one entry. Every player who has attended at least one session is included, regardless of level, leaderboard or qualification status. The draw takes place after the season closes and the result is final.
- Winners and awards. Final standings are taken on the last day of the season. Winners are announced within 14 days of the season closing.
- Fair play. Players make their own line calls and are expected to settle disagreements between themselves. Playing under another person’s name or submitting false results may result in disqualification and forfeiture of prizes.
- Conduct. Violence or threats, deliberate damage to courts or equipment, and abuse of staff or other players will end a match and may end a player’s place in the league.
- Results. All results are recorded and verified by Aspire staff. The host’s record is the official score. Queries should be raised with your host on the day.
- Your details on the leaderboards. Public leaderboards show your name, level, rating and season points. By taking part you agree to appear on them. Get in touch if you would prefer your name shortened.
- Changes. This is the league’s pilot season. Aspire may adjust levels, league structure, prizes and these terms between seasons, and will publish any changes before a new season begins.
